Corey Bearak

**Corey B. Bearak** is an American attorney, government relations consultant, and public policy author based in Queens, New York. Over a public service career spanning more than twenty-five years, Bearak has served as a legislative director in the New York City Council and a senior policy advisor to multiple Bronx Borough Presidents. As a writer, Bearak authored the long-running public affairs commentary column, *"The Public Ought To Know,"* published across New York labor and community newspapers. He is the author of *The Public Ought To Know*, a digital book compiling his columns and professional insights into local governance, community advocacy, and urban public policy. He holds a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law and remains a deeply active civic leader and community board member in New York City.
