Malcolm Floyd

Malcolm Floyd studied at London, Exeter and Oxford Universities, and then taught in Kenya for seven years. In 1984 he won the Kenya Music Festival prize for performance on a traditional instrument (a Luo one-stringed fiddle). He has had work published in Kenya and Britain, and was the editor of *World Musics in Education*. Currently he is Senior Lecturer and Head of Music at King Alfred's, University College Winchester, and General Editor of '*Ashgate Studies in Ethnomusicology*'.
