Tasmin Jahan

Ever since I was ten years of age, I knew I wanted to write. Especially plays for stage, television and film. My new-found interest was discovered during my two year stay in Sylhet, Bangladesh in 1984. One fine day, I remember watching a Bengali drama on television and thinking how the room full of people were so glued to this drama episode. I thought to myself all the actors have quite easy jobs and the dialogue seems simple to write down. So I decided to put pen to paper and started creating exciting characters with inspiring Bengali dialogue. Or so I thought! My first attempt was encouraging. From then onwards my great novelty has become a thrilling obsession. One of my ambitions was to have my work published. Now I have achieved this goal and I am delighted that the public is now reading my work.
