A Dirty Distant War

Sequel to The Dirty Dozen novel. A Dirty Distant War is a unique, complex military saga that begins a few months after The Dirty Dozen mission ends. John Reisman is again the central character. He’s thrown together with an extraordinary cast enmeshed in gripping action plots in Burma, China and French Indochina. The story evokes the time when Americans planted the first seeds in China and French Indochina for what was to become the U.S. war in Vietnam a generation later. The novel is rich in characterization, cultural conflicts and dramatic events, with an international political importance that resonates today.
