A ilustração (1884-1892)

Circulating between 1884 and 1892, "A Ilustração" - initially accompanied by the subtitle "biweekly magazine for Portugal and Brazil "- is a rare example of cultural exchanges between countries and even between continents in the 19th century, specifically of literary and graphic art. The author "looks at the magazine's trajectory, analyzing it in detail and putting us in touch with a world of cultural exchanges. Based on the ships and letters, the flow of symbolic circulation was quite fruitful." (HKB Translation) --Front Flap.
