A story to eat with a mandarin

A gentle lambasting of traditional fairy stories. (For example, Snow White is poisoned by an Apple Macintosh computer and the dwarves are fellow programmers locked into a commercial war with the evil stepmother.) French's informal conversational style of first person narrative is easy to read and never seems false or forced. It is simply light-hearted fun written by an author who knows how to communicate with her audience.
