A Whosoever Church

"Dispelling the common misconception that Black churches are opposed to the inclusion of homosexuals in the life of faith, Gary David Comstock presents interviews with twenty African American religious leaders who speak out against homophobia and openly welcome gay and lesbian people into their congregations. The conversational format allows those interviewed to speak their perspective on a variety of issues - interpreting the biblical witness, discussing the issue of homosexuality in churches and in the classroom, shaping the conversation about sexuality in Black churches - in a way that is both accessible and engaging."--Jacket.
