Highlights include the most important examples of Dresden romanticism, of Saxon Jugendstil, of German impressionism and early expressionism (namely the BRÜCKE artist group), of New Objectivity, of 1920s and 1930s social realism, of art produced in the GDR as well as contemporary art. This museum guide brings together over 300 masterpieces from various genres, combined with short texts on the pieces, a concise introduction as well as secondary information.
