Been there, done that

Been There, Done That takes you on a journey through the real world of hockey. It follows the career of Steve Ludzik and includes all the characters he has met along the way. Don Cherry is first and foremost. Honest and hilarious stories involving players like Tom Lysiak, Steve Larmer, Paul Coffey and coaches Mike Keenan, Orval Tessier, and the legendary Bert Templeton are throughout the book. Perhaps the most fascinating stories involve players that most have never heard of, including Andy Bezeau and the real Bill Goldthorpe, who was the inspiration for Ogie Olgilthorpe in the movie Slap Shot. The book shows the trials and tribulations of being a junior hockey player, professional hockey player, minor league coach, NHL coach, and TV commentator. It graphically illustrates the physical pain most players have to go through to play the game they love. Steve Ludzik takes you through the hockey world to meet the good, the bad, and the ugly, the tough and the talented, and the devoted and the demented.
