Burs Under the Saddle

A roundup of 424 books which have contributed to the mythology of many western heroes and heroines. Aim is to point out errors of fact in these accounts, which have recreated a colorful, but less authentic national past.

המשפט הראשון: Although this is a most entertaining book, giving a good picture of life on the range and employing the colorful language of the cowboy, its references to many of the characters it mentions, especially the lawless ones, are unreliable.
