Groundbreaking conservation and research discoveries about the remarkable and beloved painting Paris Street; Rainy Day are revealed this third volume in the Art Institute's digital series on the Impressionist circle. Among the many digital assets in the catalogue is a video filmed on the very street that the artist depicted; it explains how Caillebotte may have used a camera lucida to create his preparatory sketch of the streetscape and how this sketch was used in the creation of the painting.
