This approximately 300-page cookbook includes a variety of unusual, creative and tasty main dishes, sauces, dips, desserts, other delights, anecdotes about the author's life in Cambria as well as in Greenwich Village in the early 1960s, and many other examples of the author's creativity and talent, developed over more than half a century in Cambria, and reflecting the talents also displayed as a local artist. The author's main point is that it's possible to simplify the cooking so people can enjoy their time alone or with others while still having a delicious, satisfying meal. The recipes are set up in such a way that it is easy to see what ingredients are needed and what steps to take. Recipes adaptable to a vegetarian palate as well as for those who prefer a 'soft chew' are pointed out. Most recipes include color photos of the final result. Interspersed with color photos from the lovely seaside village of Cambria, the Pacific Ocean and the local environment, this book conveys the charm and grace of Cambria living and cooking.
