Caractériel

This is the story of a dunce who never ceased to imagine multicolored paradises to escape the gray hell of school. It's the story of a dirty kid trapped in the straitjacket of sickly sentimentality. This is the story of a "temperamental" who has as disoriented the psys as his parents and classmates. Hell was Doisneau's Paris. Paradise: the two villages of his ancestors, the nocturnal crickets, the poisonous red of a bloom of poppies. The story of a child who was not made to become an adult. We find the talent and the particular tone of the novelist Denis Tillinac in this portrait of an undisciplined kid, ready to sacrifice everything for his freedom. A kid who is familiar to us.--Translation of page 4 of cover by Albin Michel.
