Celebrate People's History

Over one hundred posters that pay tribute to revolution, racial justice, woman's rights, queer liberation, labor struggles, and creative activism and organizing around the world. Celebrate People's History presents these essential moments—acts of resistance and great events in an often hidden history of human and civil rights struggles—as a visual tour through decades and across continents, from the perspective of some of the most interesting and socially engaged artists working today. Individuals like Octavia Butler and Sylvia Rivera are celebrated, along with events like the J18 Carnival Against Capitalism, and whole movements, like the Secession of the Plebs in ancient Rome, or the Feminist Comix of the 1970s and 1980s. A gorgeous, fascinating, and inspiring walk through radical history.
