"This stunning monograph showcases 57 specially selected works from Cheng Taining's illustrious career, which spans nearly 60 years. His portfolio extends to more than 150 projects, many of which have won prizes and significant acclaim, such as the Beijing Great Hall of People and the Bridge Tower of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. Richly illustrated throughout, the works are grouped under three key themes: Boundaries, Artistic Conception, and Language provide a vivid articulation of Cheng Taining's creativity and leadership. Recently Cheng Taining headed the research for 'The Present and Future of Architectural Design in Contemporary China and Research of Policy Measures to Improve Architectural Design,' which are highly regarded as significant contributions to the development of Chinese architectural design and policy strategy. Cheng has published five collections of Cheng Taining's Architectural Works; his work has also featured in documentaries, essays, and anthologies. This book adds to that incredible canon. Cheng Taining Architecture is a magnificent addition to IMAGES' successful Master Architect Series and provides a comprehensive overview of one of China's most celebrated architects."--
