Christ as Mediator

"Jon M. Robertson explores the access to God provided through Christ, as seen in the theologies of Eusebius of Caesarea, Marcellus of Ancyra and Athanasius of Alexandria during the Arian controversy. Robertson first offers a critique of approaches to the period that are inadequate because of erroneous presuppositions or the imposition of later concepts. He then outlines his own method, which is contextual, systematic, and one that transcends traditional functional and ontological categories."--BOOK JACKET.
