Coming home

"Eighteen months after walking out of his life, Jim turns up at his daughter, Megan's, home. What were the events that led Jim, a middle-aged man made redundant from a North Wales slate quarry, to life in the Philippines with Consuela and whiy has he left her to return to his loveless marriage with Cath? What is the bitterness at the heart of his relationship to Cath and what is the nature of his relationship with Megan? On one July day the secrets, dreams and lies that stretch across five decades, three generations and three continents come together in this rich, powerful and complex story. An evocative and harrowing narrative that has at its core a glimmer of hope"--Publisher statement, p. [4] of cover.
