Defiant

Texas Ranger Ethan Bodine lives by a strict code of right and wrong. So when his brother Rafe goes on the run, Ethan knows he must be the one to bring him to justice. Unfortunately, his plans to intercept his brother are complicated by a petite, headstrong horticulturist named Wilhemina Granville, who's determined to collect the bounty on Rafe's head in order to save her family home from foreclosure. Having been burned by the only woman he came close to loving, Ethan has a less than flattering opinion of the fairer sex, which infuriates the progressive-minded Wilhemina. Having had her own bad luck with love, she's interested in no more than removing those unenlightened ideas from Ethan's head. But as they work their way in and out of several dangerous adventures in their pursuit of Rafe, they come to have a grudging respect for each other--even an undeniable need for each other. And something deeper begins to blossom. . . .
