Early Christian mystics

"These authors from the church of the east are generally not well known, but they belong to the 7th and 8th centuries: the physician Simon of Taibutheh, Dadishoʻ Qatraya, ʻAbdishoʻ Hazzaya, Joseph Hazzaya, and Abraham bar Dashandad. The English translations are all annotated in the way of the other volumes of the series. The Syriac texts are all given at the end of the book, and an index of proper names is also included."--From back cover
