Educating African American Males

Collection of essays that responds to and extends the conversations in the predecessor text to this work, Black Sons to Mothers, in a similar vein--exploring meaning and connections of Black boys'/men's lives and offering literary, scholarly, and personal space to interrogate the seeminlgly elusive intersection of race and gender. The contributors offer two voices: one where men speak to the education of African American males as cultural workers and another representing the transformation of African American males into the cultural space of educator.
