Els carrers seran sempre nostres

The violence used by the Spanish 'security forces' throughout Catalonia to prevent a democratic vote attracted the attention of the world. But perhaps even more, the dignified, civic and courageous response of the people before the gangs, the arms and the violence. Now that the facts that we have all seen on television, on social networks or on the web are relatively or in doubt, inventory must be made and some are explained in a certain way. In Barcelona, Sabadell, Girona, Sant Carles de la Ràpita, Dosrius, Sant Joan de Vilatorrada and many other places, dramatic, tragicomic or intensely happy episodes were experienced. The book written by Liz Castro is a denunciation, but also a tribute to all the volunteers and voters involved in an unforgettable day in a country underway.
