End in Fire

From the back cover: In 2022, the oil fields bordering India and China contain Earth's last remaining fuel reserves. Both countries claim ownership, and political tensions are at an all-time high. The world braces for a conflict that threatens to spread around the globe -- and into the heavens.... Three hundred miles above the troubled planet, astronaut Claire Logan is living her life's dream: working on the space station *Reliance* to deploy the first satellite in a solar array that will collect and transmit free power to the planet below. Two days before her mission ends, Claire's worst nightmare begins. The Earth is engulfed in nuclear war. *Reliance*'s systems are damaged by radiation and cannot sustain life for more than a few days. Stranded, helpless, and unable to contact her husband and young son, Claire refuses to give up hope. When the crippled *Reliance* rescues a Chinese space station from certain destruction, Claire discovers that the war on Earth has come to space -- and she must make a stand for her family, her station, and the survivors on the devastated planet below....
