Erwin Hauer

"If we rarely think of walls as works of mesmerizing beauty, Erwin Hauer can hardly be blamed. Erwin Hauer: Continua resurrects the extraordinary but little-known work of this Austrian-born sculptor, whose designs of perforated and modular structures are symphonies of measured elegance." "Built in Austria, Canada, Italy, Mexico, Aruba, Venezuela, and the United states, Hauer's architectural screens and walls caused a stir when they were constructed in the 1950s but have since been lost in time. This book gathers stunning photographs of these works, many of them now destroyed or no longer accessible, along with the artist's own reflections on the ideas behind them."--BOOK JACKET.
