Evolving visions of the priesthood

"Evolving Visions of the Priesthood depicts far-reaching changes in the American priesthood as reflected in four surveys of priests done in 1970, 1985, 1993, and 2001. During this time the number of priests declined, the average age rose, but morale has risen. Most important, the conception of the priesthood held by priests has shifted from a servant leadership model to a cultic model, so that older and younger priests often disagree on ecclesiology."--BOOK JACKET.
