Fragile travelers

When a casual intimacy develops between Emilija and Petar, they find themselves continuously resisting the idea that it might be something more. Petar is a married man struggling with issues of loyalty when his chance encounters with Emilija take him out of the material world and into the world of Emilija's dreams. She, in turn, struggles to understand why he is there, why her moral and devout nature are being challenged. Between them is an overwhelming sense that what's happening is more than infatuation. In a series of surreal and beautifully realized encounters, Petar continues to save Emilija--in the darkness and solitude of an ever-narrowing cave, or on the expansive terror of a precipice under an unending sky. In Fragile Travelers, the reader moves seamlessly between the mundanity of modern existence and a world in which chance bleeds into fate.
