Freud's Mexico

Here, the author reveals Freud's previously undisclosed connections to a culture and a psychoanalytic tradition not often associated with him. Freud found a receptive audience among Mexican intellectuals, read Mexican books, collected Mexican antiques, and dreamed Mexican dreams; his writings bear the traces of a long-standing fascination with the country. This book offers detailed testimony to Freud's relationship to a country he never set foot in, but inhabited imaginatively on many levels.
