Gaudi unseen

"Antoni Gaudi is known to the layman as a creator of fairytale architecture. His works are fascinating, both in their fragments and as a whole. A good example is his best known work, the church of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, attracting more than two and a half million visitors per year. However, a clear geometric code lies beneath the architectural magic of this building, expressing the persuasive technical modernity of Gaudi's architecture." "Mark Burry has pioneered the conversion of Gaudi's century-old design ideas into three-dimensional datasets. Today they form the basis of the completion of the Sagrada Familia. This book takes a look behind the scenes at Gaudi's constructive genius and presents some new insights into one of the most unusual building projects ever undertaken."--Jacket.
