German Invasion Plans for the British Isles, 1940

"For years; German military intelligence quietly compiled a dossier of information on Britain. When Hitler gave his generals the order to begin planning a full-scale invasion of Britain in 1940, they were prepared. True to form, the intelligence was exhaustive and astonishingly detailed, with every conceivable (and inconceivable) statistic of use to an invading army, together with an analysis of the military significance of each region and aerial photographs and maps of strategic sites." "Here is the book to which Hitler's generals turned when they planned Operation Sea Lion in 1940. Using one of the only surviving copies found by the Allied forces as they invaded Berlin in 1945 - and subsequently acquired by the Bodleian Library - this is the first time this material has been translated into English and edited to make a single volume."--Jacket.
