Girls in Green

What was it like to study in a convent with wooden floors and a leaking roof? What does it mean to nostalgically walk down the past and remember our schooldays, even as the next generation takes our places at benches we once sat on? What does puppy love mean to a convent girl? And what did boarding life in a Goa of the seventies translate into? This book is made up of essays penned by past-pupils of St Mary's Convent, a six-decade-old institution based in the North Goa town of Mapusa, in coastal western India.
