Golf from the Inside

Mike Clayton is a golf professional who fell in love with the game as a twlve-year-old more than thirty years ago. It took him to all parts of the golfing world--where he met, played with, and observed the best players of his generation. It also gave him the chance to play on the greatest courses on the planet. Mainly documents the history of golf in Australia from 1970. Clayton offers insights into the best and worst of the game; what he makes of the careers of players as famous as Norman, Ballesteros, and Woods; the futures of young players such as Aaron Baddeley and Adam Scott; and the stories of his golfing mates, such as Ian Baker-Finch and Wayned Grady. Now working as a golf-course architect, Clayton writes of the best courses around the world as well as the mecca of Australian golf-course architecture, the sandbelt of Melbourne--From back cover.
