על הספר
AI can already write the email, make the deck, analyse the spreadsheet and produce fifty ideas before breakfast, all without coffee or becoming annoyed with someone in Finance. Human Still Wins asks what becomes more valuable as artificial intelligence gets better at competent execution. Kara Fox draws on research and interviews across six generations, alongside her work as Chief of Staff at a Cape Town ecommerce agency where automation is part of the day job. At the centre of the book are four Soul Skills: Trust, Judgement, Taste and Courage. Responsibility is the floor beneath all four. The argument moves from the workplace into creativity and apprenticeship, then towards model collapse, environmental cost and the awkward question of who remains responsible once the machine is doing the task. Fox is particularly interested in work handed over too early, because junior tasks often teach the judgement later required to supervise the systems doing them. AI is astonishingly useful and occasionally wrong with the confidence of a man explaining your own oven to you. Human Still Wins is about deciding what to automate and what to keep human, with a further nuisance attached: somebody still has to answer for the result.
