I Listen

"Since 1993, electronic music artist The Spacewurm has used specially modified digital scanning equipment to secretly (and illegally) record the cellular and portable phone calls of everyday people all over the country. The stories, confessions, and intimate conversations of these unwitting participants are transcribed in I Listen. The result is an amazing, if not depressing commentary on human relationships and the outdated concept of privacy. Driven by a fascination with high technology and the sound of the human voice, The Spacewurm elevates the science of eavesdropping to high art, with unsettling results."--BOOK JACKET.
