In cold sweat

"From the turbulent world of rock journalism comes this collection of interviews that drive deep into the mind and frequently the soul of each of the subjects. They are all bass players.". "The four musicians include Gene Simmons of Kiss, Peter Hook of New Order, Jerry Casale of Devo and Scott Thunes, once the driving force behind Frank Zappa's best live work. They met with Thomas Wictor, a contributing editor of Bass Player, to discuss their careers as artists. The conversations veered into deeply personal reflections on success, failure, talent, values, image and fame, to reveal complex personalities.". "The book contains a full discography for each of the artists, and every interview - illustrated with striking, often candid photographs - includes an introduction and a postscript that together serve to recognize the artist's accomplishments and define his place in the current pop scene."--BOOK JACKET.
