Information systems design

This book provides a detailed introduction to computer-based systems design, with particular emphasis on information and data-oriented design systems. Covering all aspects of the design process, the book moves from project specification and management, through data modelling, design methods and tools, to implementation and operation. A single case study runs throughout the book, unifying the various processes and concepts explained. The author's wide experience in the design and implementation of information systems is apparent in the applications-based nature of the book. The emphasis on practical work and exercises enables the reader to apply the techniques to the solution of real systems design problems.
