Ira Sankey

From the time he was very young, Ira Sankey loved to sing. And God had big plans for Ira's voice -- plans that would take him all over America and Europe. As part of D.L. Moody's ministry team, Ira sang the gospel to thousands of men and women. Ira Sankey and D.L. Moody saw God work wonders through the dual ministry of preaching and music. Their meetings brought revival, drawing lost souls to Christ and encouraging the hearts of believers. Ira and his family experienced times of sadness and need -- and even terrors like the Great Chicago Fire. Through it all Ira maintained his trust in God and his belief that the right song at the right moment could change lives. - Back cover.
