Italy and Sherlock Holmes

***Italy and Sherlock Holmes*** provides the best non-fiction Holmesian writing from Italy to a larger English-reading audience. Italian Sherlockians and BSIs Enrico Solito and Gianlucca Salvatore edited this anthology, the fourth title in the Baker Street Irregulars International Series. This volume contains scholarly essays on such topics as European political intrigue in the Victorian era, speculations on Holmes’s travels in Italy, and the historical origins of such canonical names as Cardinal Tosca and Carina. Featuring the unique voice in which Italian Holmesians “play the game,” ***Italy and Sherlock Holmes*** attests to the remarkable popularity of the great detective.
