Jezebel

"Two portraits are presented here (1) Jezebel as a story character taken from narrative criticism, and (2) Jezebel, the evil Jewish queen described in the books of Kings, drawn from a sociological study. Through combining these portraits, the reader comes to understand the ancient writer's worldviews, theologies, values, and loyalties and learns a perspective with which to approach all biblical texts."--BOOK JACKET.

המשפט הראשון: We begin our study of Jezebel with a survey of narrative criticism in order to acquaint the reader with the tools critics use to study a story.
