Julie Mehretu

"In this book, the most comprehensive consideration of her exquisite drawings, the fullness of Julie Mehretu's ideas and explorations of line and mark-making is considered." "A recent recipient of the highly prestigious MacArthur Foundation "Genius Grant," Mehretu has captivated her audience with her ambitious works that include an array of symbols and motifs from a variety of sources, including Constructivist painting and sculpture, graffiti, and Chinese calligraphy painting, among others."--Jacket.
