Lesson plans

The epic tales of this Nautilus Award winning author --including the acclaimed The Lost Years of Merlin and The Great Tree of Avalon have child heroes at their heart. Through these K through 2nd grade lesson plans teachers share with students the importance of symbolism and detail as children investigate, reason, articulate, and explore their own creativity. With nature as the greatest teacher, this integrated, project-based curriculum engages children. They experience the sensory power of their surroundings, follow their passions, make fantasy a vehicle for storytelling, and realize their dreams in the world beyond the classroom. Lessons are based on information found in the documentary film, StoryTeller: T.A. Barron and from free downloadable Brain Snacks. --From p. [4] of cover and introduction.
