Light Before the Son

The Old Testament is many things. Layer upon layer, we discover it as a history book, a praise manual, and a guide written from the lives of those who walked before us. Yet the Old Testament is also a picture of Christ, presented in a simple way everyone can understand. In Light Before the Son, Julianna Treadwell writes, "For thousands of years the Jews lived the promise of Jesus. By using the ordinary backdrop of Jewish life -- sheep, bread, and grain -- God traced the image of his Son so that when people came face to face with Him, they would recognize Him." Treadwell's spirited, captivating narratives uncover Old Testament prophecies and bring them to life. The stories are fictional, but what they reveal about the existence of Christ is scriptural truth. From them, we discover God's portrait of his Son. - Jacket.
