Lost ballparks

"Lost Ballparks is a compilation of the cherished and storied baseball fields that have seen their final inning. Today, the sites of some of America's greatest ballparks are covered by housing, hospitals, highways, malls, parking lots, airports and in one case, a zoo. Sports history may have been made within their boundaries (and sometimes soaring out of them) but they have been demolished in the name of progress. Lost Ballparks tells their stories. Losses include: Grand Pavilion, Sportman's Park, Ebbets Field, Yankee Stadium, Shibe Park, Ketchikan Harbor, Polo Grounds, Tiger Stadium, League Park, Victory Field, Memorial Stadium, Borchert Field, Griffith Park, Al Lang Field, Shea Stadium, Victory Field, Rosenblatt Stadium, Roosevelt Stadium, Gilmore Field, Colt Stadium, Astrodome, Kingdome, Maple Leaf Stadium, Seals Stadium, Forbes Field, and many more"--Back cover.
