Mark

"From and amid a variety of lenses and cultures, Mark's Gospel emerges here, in all its wealth of meanings and myteries, speaking in a variety of tongues and even in meaningful moments of silence, all of which seem to be the Gospel's native language. Mark's Gospel ends with the un-witness of those who say nothing to anyone, ever. But clearly, the story of that silence reverberates, through language and experience, in the midst of tradition and culture, in the face of repression and violence, as mysterious and full of meaning as experience itself." -- Book jacket.
