Mr. Consequence

"Chicago detectives Mitch Mrozek and Diane Ryan are assigned the task of tracking down Mr. Consequence, an unknown vigilante who is taking down criminals who are continual repeat offenders in Chicago. The only evidence Mr. Consequence leaves behind are notes warning other BAD GUYS. However, with the ensuing publicity, many Chicagoans embrace the violent vigilante justice that Mr. Consequence exacts upon his victims. The criminals he is attacking are despised and as a result Mr. Consequence is viewed as a hero in the public eye. The public reaction makes the mayor walk a tightrope in his pursuit of Mr. Consequence as the upcoming mayoral election looms. Who is Mr. Consequence and how does he do what he does?"--Page 4 of cover.
