Multicultural Feminist Therapy

"This book discusses intervention strategies clinicians can use when working with adolescent girls of color, specifically those from Native American, Black American, Asian American, and Latina populations. Editor Thema Bryant-Davis provides a strengths-based framework for offering culturally congruent care from a multicultural feminist perspective to help mental health professionals better understand the experiences and developmental pathways of adolescent girls of color. Chapters integrate psychological knowledge with the intersectional cultural contexts of adolescent girls, discuss risk factors and mental health concerns, describe treatment approaches, and use case examples to illustrate how the techniques presented can be used to promote well-being and growth. Includes a foreword by Jessica Henderson Daniel, 2018 president of the American Psychological Association"--
