Murder Can Wreck Your Reunion

Private eye Desiree Shapiro has as much a talent for murder as she does for whipping up--and polishing off--a cold lemon souffle. And New York's chubbiest detective is certainly putting all she's got into solving the death of beautiful Raven Eber, since her favorite (and only) niece, Ellen, is the leading suspect. Once close sorority sisters, Ellen and Raven have been estranged for years. But the two meet again at a weekend reunion of old college friends, and the animosity between them boils over. When that same night Raven takes a dive off a balcony into the pool--an empty pool--below, Ellen is in deep trouble. Was Raven's death an accident? A suicide? Or something more sinister? Desiree quickly discovers that the deceased could have won the grand prize for being the girl everyone loved to hate. And finding out whose animosity had turned into a murderous rage was going to be a tall order--but leave it to this short, round gumshoe to fill it.
