Natural moralities

"David B. Wong defends an ambitious and important new version of relativism. The version he defends here is both an alternative to, and fits between, universalism and the usual definition of relativism. Wong examines a wide array of positions and texts within the Western canon as well as in Chinese philosophy, and draws on not only philosophy, but psychology, evolutionary theory, history, and literature as well, in pursuit of his goal, which is to make a case for the importance of pluralism in moral life, and to establish the virtues of acceptance and accommodation."--Jacket.
