על הספר
Within a few minutes of the news that Grateful Dead leader Jerry Garcia had passed away, tributes to him began appearing on the Internet. Highly personal, sincere, and moving, these fans' voices form the heart of Not Fade Away. Some tell stories of meetings with Jerry or recall a favorite concert, others explain how his music changed their lives. The effect is of a communal oral history - told, of course, through the most current technology. Part of the appeal of the Dead has always been its community of followers and their unique relationship with the band, and it is fitting that this most personal tribute to Jerry should come from them.
