Ojik tu saram

"It has been 7 years since Kim{u2019}s last novel. This book contains titles such as ?Looking for a Child{u2019} (winner of 9th annual Kim Yoo-jung Literary Award) and ?Corn and I? (winner of 36th annual Literature Prize). Oddly, these are stories of people who have experienced losses and are trying to overcome those losses. Kim says ?Looking for a Child? marks a turning point in his life as well the content of his works. As many may recall, the Sewol Ferry incident occurred in Korea in April 2014. Works such as ?Corn and I,? were written before the tragedy. Before the accident, his characters overcame the circumstances through rationalization verging on self-deceit to hide their anxiety. However, the protagonists, whom he devised after the incident, overcome their hardships by abandoning self-comfort and acting. Instead, they are desperate to move forward"--Hanbooks.
