One woman or another

Imagine the popular Alfred Botts ending his days on the floor of his bedroom, alone, and with everybody idolizing him -- or almost everybody. Poisoned by rosary peas in his health tonic. Police Detective Jake Targell finds plenty of suspects among the unhappy women who have loved and lost the charismatic, high-living televangelist. When Vivi Looper accuses Jake's friend of the murder, the investigation becomes complicated by stolen diamonds and Mexican thugs. Sordid secrets are uncovered in unexpected places. For some, all's well that ends well. For others, not so good.
