| About the novel The Island of Angels - On Holy Saturday 1974, the family disappears without a trace from the island of Valö near Fjällbacka. The holiday table has been set, but everyone except Ebba’s one-year-old daughter is no longer there. Are they victims of crime or did they leave voluntarily? Thirty years later, Ebba returns to the island to a former boys' boarding school run by her father with an iron fist. She and her husband Mårten recently lost their three-year-old son and in an attempt to overcome their grief, they decided to renovate the old house and open a boarding house. During the renovation, they find mysterious traces of blood under the floorboards. After three decades of silence, the police reopen the investigation and Patrik Hedström and Erica Falck enter the scene. What actually happened to Ebba’s family and what was the role of the five boys who were in the boarding school that night? |
